HUNDREDS of school leavers donned their best tuxedos and frocks to mark the start of proms season.
The first schools to hold events were St Hild's School, from Hartlepool, and Easington Community School.
Our photographers were at both events last night and we will publish a comprehensive selection of pictures from the majority of schools on Wednesday, July 23, in our special proms supplements.
Wellfield School, in Wingate, which also held its prom last night, declined our request to attend.
