AMANDA Coulson can't weight for her quest for European gold.
The Catholic Club fighter will face the best on the continent when the EU Championships get underway in Liverpool on Monday.

Coulson faces the unusual situation of having to put pounds on for her fight! She will compete in the under 66kg category,
rather than her usual 63kg section.

Scouser Natasha Jones automatically gets the opportunity to fight in the 63kg section after beating Coulson at the ABA Championships, forcing the Hartlepool fighter to move up a division.

Fighting at 66kg does give Coulson chance to gain some revenge, with France's El Hadrati Farida likely to be in the mix – the boxer who pipped her Hartlepool opponent to the gold at the EU Championships last December.

Coulson said: "It is a change to eat to up your weight rather than starving yourself!

"I have got some protein bars and plenty of the right things inside me nutrition wise.

"I have boxed at least three of the girls in the top 10 rankings at 66kg. I think El Hadrati will be the one France choose at 66. The scoring was ridiculous at the EUs (El Habir winning 20-3) but it will be a different story this year."
