BOXING promoter Tommy Conroy was today looking to set up a revenge mission for luckless fighter Shaun Farmer.
The 31-year-old adopted Poolie looked to have recorded his third consecutive victory last night, and his second in a row against Jon Musgrave.

However, referee Gary Williams decided otherwise and awarded a 58-57 win to Musgrave in their exciting r
e-match in Sunderland.

Mr Williams had made Farmer a winner by the same scoreline when the two boxers first met at South Shields two months ago.

Farmer was furious with Thursday night's decision and while Conroy was less vocal in his criticism, both men were united in trying to get a third instalment booked for the Stadium of Light show on Friday, June 13.

"There has got to be a decider," said Conroy. "Boxing away from home you sometimes expect a decision like that, but not at home.

"I'm not saying Farmer was miles better, but he certainly won.
"This bout is going to have to go on again."

Farmer is already booked to appear on the undercard of the Paul Holborn v James McElvaney Northern Area lightweight championship bout at Sunderland's football ground.

Now he is demanding a third fight on the spin with his rival from Barnsley.

Musgrave was upset with the South Shields decision but last night it was the turn of Farmer to feel ripped off.

"I'm disgusted," said the Scouser, who is now happily settled in town with his family.

"The referee took stick off Musgrave and his people at South Shields and last night he bottled it.

"That is the way I look at it.

"There's no way I lost – I'm convinced I won, no doubts at all.

"I'm distraught, wounded, however you want to describe it. I'm just hoping this fight can go on again."
