ADOPTED Poolie Shaun Farmer today said he was "over the moon" to have gained a return bout with the man he beat in his last bout.
Farmer, originally from Liverpool but now settled in Hartlepool with his family, will tackle John Musgrove in Sunderland on Thursday, May 15.

The 31-year-old beat the Sheffield fighter last month in South Shields though not without a struggle.

Farmer got the nod from referee Gary Williams, 58-57, but admitted that he had "felt flat" and that Musgrave was "unlucky not to have got at least a draw".

Now though, next month's dinner show at the Roker Hotel gives him the opportunity "to show the real Shaun Farmer".

The Tommy Conroy light-middleweight said: "This is the fight I wanted.
"I was very disappointed with how I boxed last time but I'm looking forward to this chance.

"Before my last fight (on March 20] I'd only had four days out of the gym since Boxing Day.

"After the bout with Jon I took a week off and got out for a few drinks so I could relax.

"I'd been eating, sleeping and drinking boxing before then so hopefully a break has done me good.

"I apologised to people after that Musgrove fight because that wasn't me, it felt like there was nothing there.

"I've been back in the gym now for a fortnight and I still have a month before the bout, so hopefully I'll be in top nick for it."

Anyone interested in tickets can call Shaun on 07732 479859.
