Attack witness appeal
A MAN who suffered a serious head injury in a main street near a bar has been released from hospital.
The 26-year-old victim was assaulted in Seaside Lane, near Rutherford View and JT Finn’s bar, in Easington Colliery.
He was treated for a head and back injury at Sunderland Royal Hospital but has since been discharged.
Officers from Peterlee CID are seeking witnesses following the incident, which happened around 4pm on Wednesday, November 28.
Two men from the Easington area were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They have since been bailed pending further inquiries.
