Wept at the dodgy shorts
WE can honestly say we wept tears of laughter when we saw the photograph, Pulling Power (Memory Lane, January 14).
To say it brought back some fun memories is the understatement of the year!
The GRD tug-o-war team was synonymous with strength, winning attitude, good looks – and dodgy shorts.
The team entered many competitions at local charity events and fun days, and were actually quite successful.
But this may have been down to Alan Brown (“Where’s Wally?” in the picture) putting off the competitors with his bad jokes.
