Theatre group memories
A YOUTH theatre is appealing for members past and present to share their memories as it prepares to celebrate its 18th birthday.
The Footlight Youth Theatre in Hartlepool aims to mark its “coming of age” with a digital display of photographs and other memorabilia on its website.
It will be part of a month-long celebration that is set to culminate in a cabaret-style night at Hartlepool Borough Hall on Saturday, March 24, when a number of former members who have gone on to forge successful careers in music and dance are expected to perform.
The display will begin on Sunday, March 4, the youth theatre’s actual birthday, and will continue indefinitely so items can still be sent following its launch.
The group, based within the premises of Hartlepool Families First in Greatham Street, Hartlepool, is a non-profit making organisation with registered charity status that provides opportunities for young people aged four to 19.
