Danny: No comment on leaving rumours

DANNY Wilson today remained coy on rumours he will part company with Hartlepool United next week.
Speculation has been bandied around the town that Wilson's two-year tenure as Pools boss will come to an end after tomorrow's final game of the season at Walsall (kick-off 3pm).
Wilson lead Pools to promotion in his first season in charge last year and has consolidated the club's position in League One this campaign.
But that has not been enough for a portion of the fans who have become disenchanted by the club's lack of play-off challenge this year.
Rumours about Wilson's departure intensified following chairman Ken Hodcroft's comments in last Saturday's programme which stated 'corrections must be made at the end of the season'.
Wilson said: "There will always be speculation, but only the chairman can answer that.
"We will just have to wait until next week."
Wilson is busy preparing his troops for the season's climax at the Bescot Stadium, where Pools will attempt to end a run of three consecutive defeats.
They will have to do it without their two top scorers Joel Porter (knee) and Richard Barker (hamstring) who are both ruled out through injury.
That is likely to mean Michael Mackay partnering James Brown in attack.
Pools cannot finish higher than their current position of 15th and could sink as low as 18th, if results go against them.
Wilson said the table doesn't lie, but the season could have taken on an entirely different complexion if Pools had managed just a few extra victories.
He said: "You look at our position in the table and I suppose it's right what people say that you deserve to be where you are.
"But with a couple more wins, we could have possibly finished eighth, ninth or tenth.
"I presume people will say finishing 15th is not a good season. But I am quite realistic in how our approach has got to be and it will be the same on Saturday.
"I wanted to win the league at the start of the season just like everybody else. But I think when the season gets underway, you establish what type of league it is.
"You can see why the teams up the top have got there. They have got good defences, don't concede many goals and they have got goalscorers in double figures."
He added: "From our point of view, the biggest disappointment I have is that we haven't defended like we know we can do.
"We have let too many loose goals in at vital times in games and handed the incentive back to the opposition.
"That has happened in virtually all the games we have played this year.
"You don't win anything and don't finish high in leagues when you have got a defensive record like we have."
