Friday night fever for Pools

HARTLEPOOL United fans can look forward to a bit of Friday night fever next season.
In fact, six episodes of Friday night fever.

Pools have annonced half a dozen changes to the Coca-Cola League One fixture list which was published on Monday.

Four home dates have been brought forward, starting with the visit of Cheltenham Town to Victoria Park, which has now been moved to Friday, September 12.

The home game against Swindon Town is now on Friday October 3, while the trip to Northampton, originally set for Saturday October 11, will now be the previous evening, to avoid clashing with England's World Cup qualifier with Kazakhstan.

Southend United's pre-Christmas visit to the Vic will now be on Friday December 19, with the home date against Northampton also moved to Friday January 16.

The return fixture with Southend will also now take place on the Friday night, Pools visiting Roots Hall on March 27.

Fixture alterations: Cheltenham Town (h), Friday September 12; Swindon Town (h), Friday October 3; Northampton Town (a), Friday October 10; Southend United (h), Friday December 19; Northampton Town (h), Friday January 16; Southend United (a), Friday March 27.
All kick-offs 7.45pm
