CHRIS Turner will use Hartlepool United's friendly double header to finalise his side for the opening day dress rehearsal.
Pools travel to non-league Garforth Town tonight (kick-off 7.45pm) and Whitley Bay tomorrow to put the finishing touches to their preparations for their final pre-season friendly at York City on Saturday.

Turner will use a more experimental line-u
p at Garforth with Steve Haslam, Colin Larkin, Denis Behan and Jon-Andre Fredriksen set to start tonight alongside three trialists and first year professionals Billy Blackford and Paul Johnson.

But the Pools boss will make a couple of high-profile changes at FA Vase winners Whitley Bay too with Adam Boyd and Leon McSweeney both expected to be included in the starting XI.

Turner is keen to explore all his options ahead of the weekend's game at York, where he hopes to finalise his side for the League One curtain raiser at Rochdale seven days later.

"It will be a mix of players tonight and again at Whitley Bay tomorrow," said Turner.

"We are working on certain things in training to come out of these two games.

"We will utilise these two games and then select a team at York which will be there or thereabouts to the one at Rochdale."
