I AM a great-granddaughter of William Grainger SGM, who readers will know as a local hero for his part in the rescue of the Swedish Brig, Trio.
The Hartlepool Museum has kindly said it would be prepared to mount a display to honour William.

However artefacts and memorabilia are scarce.

I would like to appear through the Mail to anyone who has information or items to contact me at the address below, or Emma Hamlett at Sir William Gray House, Hartlepool, to enable us to achieve our aim.

Phyllis M Sims,
24 Logwell Court,
Standens Barn,
Northampton.
NN3 9DJ.
