THE football season is nearly here again and how much has Hartlepool United chairman Ken Hodcroft spent on new players? Not a penny.
If Mr Hodcroft wants to buy the ground and wants the club to do well, why won't he spend money on new players?

So far Danny Wilson has brought in a reserve team player who couldn't get into the League One first team that he played for and another free transfer signing from Manchester United.

We are in need of a right back. Ex-Poolie Paul Arnison was available on a free transfer but Wilson missed the boat – Arno's gone to Bradford and let's see who we end up with at right-back.

Hodcroft needs to spend some money soon.

Get your hand in your pocket Ken and buy some good players.

Unless you spend some money Mr Hodcroft, we will only go down, not up.

M Jackson,
Kilmarnock Road,
Hartlepool.
