Too close to water

I AM very concerned about the asbestos that Alab intends to bury at Seaton Meadows landfill site.
It is already well known that they are out of planning permission by exceeding the height of the mound.

In addition to this, toxic waste should not have been allowed to be buried there in the first place as this also breaks EU law by being within 1,000 metres of the high watermark.

By my calculations using an admiralty chart for this area, the tip lies within 600 metres of the high water mark!

I have no objections to Alab bringing jobs to the area.

But if this had been a guy building an extension on his house then in my view the planning department would have told him to pull it down.

Mr T Wilson,
Macauley Road,
Hartlepool.
