A knockout weekend for Hartlepool & District Hospice

IT’S not too late for hospice supporters to sign up and have a knockout time at a fun-filled fundraiser this weekend.

After Hartlepool & District Hospice’s hugely successful inaugural It’s A Knockout competition last year, organisers were quick to plan for its return.

And the inflatable games and hilarious activities and races are ready to steal the show once again this Saturday, at Hartlepool Rugby Club, in Easington Road.

Hospice staff can’t wait and urged teams who are yet to sign up to make sure they do so by tomorrow at the latest. But it isn’t just the teams who are taking part who can enjoy the fun and games.

Families are invited to the rugby club to watch the fun unfold, support the teams and browse through the various stalls which will be set up.

Additional activities will also be taking place during the day for everyone to enjoy.

Greg Hildreth, events fundraiser for the Wells Avenue-based hospice, said: “Last year’s event was absolutely fantastic, it was a brilliant day and one of the highlights of the year.”

Hospice staff would like to apologise to local residents in advance for any noise disturbance which could be caused because of the event, which will start at 11am but will be finished by around 4.30pm.

Greg added: “Every penny we raise will be used to fund patient care in the hospice so please come along and support us.”

Registration for a team of between six and 10 people is £100. To sign up or for more information visit www.hartlepoolhospice.co.uk.
