A BREWERY is set to back an awards scheme to honour musical talent in Hartlepool.
Camerons Brewery will back this year’s Red Dreams Music Awards with 25 categories up for grabs.
The event, which is in its third year, will take place at The Corporation Club, Hartlepool on Friday, December 21.
Titles up for grabs include Best Original Song, Best Band, Best Front Person, Best Photographer and Best Actor.
The Red Dreams charity was created to support young people between the ages of 11 and 19, and offers mentoring and coaching for bands, singers, songwriters, actors, musicians, artists, writers, film makers, and editors.

Camerons will be sponsoring two awards on the night, The Best Original Song (under 19) and The Best Original Song (Over 19) categories.
The winners of these two awards will receive a specially recorded message on the large screens from English folk/punk singer-songwriter Frank Turner and representatives of Camerons will present the winners with their awards.
Camerons marketing manager Yousef Doubooni said “We are delighted to become a sponsor of this event for the first time. The work that the charity does to provide young people with the confidence and skills to develop their talents further is fantastic.
“Given we are one of Hartlepool’s oldest business we are always looking to support local charities and events which help support our local area. Who knows one of the winners announced could be a huge star in the future”.
Charity manager Dawn McManus added “It’s fantastic to see local businesses like Cameron’s supporting young people and the arts; organisations such as Red Dreams could not organise events of this calibre without this kind of support.
The winners are decide by a public vote, then independent judging, and details of all of the various categories and nominees can be found at www.reddreams.org.uk
