DOZENS of vintage vehicles will be rolling into Elwick next week.
The popular classic car show, organised by the Teesside Yesteryear Motor Club, returns to the scenic village on Monday evening from 6pm.
The event is limited to members of the organisation - but vintage car stalwart Jack Smurthwaite, 85, who lives in the village, is expecting a good turn out.
Jack has been involved with the organisation for nearly 20 years and said members from Darlington to Guisborough will head to the village for the annual show.
The former joiner said: “I look forward to this every year, I have had some notices up so hopefully a lot of the members will come along.
“A lot of it all depends on the weather.”
The event was cancelled in 2011 after problems flared at the previous year’s event when more people attended than expected.
The show has since been limited to members only.
Jack, who will have his 1970 MGB open-top roadster on display, added: “We got the show back on last year with members only and we have done the same this year.
“I wouldn’t like to say exactly how many vehicles we will have but I’m sure it will be as popular as it has been in the past with members.”
