Events on way

TOE-TAPPING dance shows are going down a storm in Hartlepool and there are more on the way.

The Town Hall Theatre in Raby Road is the place to be for anyone wanting to catch performances planned by dance schools from all over town.

April brings a show called It Aint What You Do It’s the Way That You Do It, by Nadine’s Academy of Dance and Performing Arts.

Shows are planned at 6.45pm on Monday, April 11, Tuesday, April 12, and from Thursday, April 14, to Saturday, April 16, as well as a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

It’s a show for people of all ages featuring In The Night Garden, Hairspray and a flying Peter Pan. Tickets are £8.50 and £7.50.

Performing arts students from English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College will also be appearing on stage from 6.30pm on Monday, May 16.

Their show, The World Is A Stage, features commissioned pieces created for examination purposes and the evening’s performances will include song, dance and drama. Tickets are £6 or £4 with concessions.

Next in line is the Showtime Spectacular by Edith Harrison Performing Arts, from Wednesday, May 25, to Friday, May 27.

Shows start at 7pm and 55 junior members – as well as more senior performers – will be taking to the stage.

There will be hits from West End shows and Disney films among more than two hours of entertainment.

Tickets are £7 or £6 with concessions.
