ORGANISERS of two collectors’ fairs are selling miniature motors to boost life-changing charities.

Stan Walton, treasurer of the North East Die Cast Collectors’ Club, is hoping people back two charities at the club’s toy fair that runs from 10am-3pm on Saturday, October 15.

The event at North Lodge School, in Chester-le-Street, will see a host of displays that will include miniature vans and cars bearing the logos of the Great North Air Ambulance and Help for Heroes.

They will be on sale with all proceeds going to the two charities.

The same vehicles will be on sale at the Toy and Train Collectors Fair at Bowburn Community Centre, in Durham Road, Bowburn, from 10am-2.30pm on Sunday, September 4.

Mr Walton said: “A lot of people from Hartlepool and east Durham come to these fairs as they are very popular, family events.

“Hopefully we will also raise a bit for the charities as well as having a good time.”
