CAR washing, fancy dress and a guess the name of the teddy competition. They’re all party of the funday action on behalf of a little boy who has touched the hearts of Hartlepool Mail readers.
More details have emerged of the weekend-long fundays to be held at the three McDonald’s branches in Hartlepool.
Each will be supporting the Callum’s Dream appeal to raise money for 22-month-old Callum Smith who has conditions including epilepsy.
Callum needs a sensory room to help him develop and the Callum’s Dream appeal was set up by the Hartlepool Mail in association with town charity Epilepsy Outlook to raise the £5,000 needed.
Even though the total has now been passed, the campaign to support Callum goes on as he has many more requirements and his needs will continue for years to come.
McDonald’s is planning fundays from Saturday, August 24, to Monday, August 26, at its branches in Burn Road, Hartlepool Marina and the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
Events will include Disney characters at the Marina branch on the Saturday, face painting, a tombola stall, fancy dress, treasure hunt, guess the name of the bear and colouring-in competitions.
At the Burn Road outlet, there will be fancy dress, a car wash and a tombola on the Saturday and at the shopping centre outlet on the same day, there will be a guess the sweets in the jar contest, tombola, and fancy dress.
