FORMER students of a Hartlepool school are being rounded up for a reunion.
The get-together is being held for Manor School’s class of 1976, though it is also open to those who attended the school while the year group where there, from 1971 to 1976.
Linda Weatherill (nee Sharp) Jackie Gleeson (nee Wanley), Sheila Turnbull (nee Clayton), Dilly Watson (nee Veart) and Kath “Twiggy” Thompson (nee Donavon) are the organisers.
It will be held on Friday, September 27 at Owton Manor Social Club in Wynyard Road from 7pm and tickets are £2.
Linda, from the Owton Manor area, will be attending with her husband Peter, who was in her year group at school.
The 53-year-old has worked at BMB clothing, formerly Alexandre’s and John Collier’s, in Powlett Road, for 37 years, and his now a team leader there.
She said: “We will all be 53 or 54 years old and would like to catch up with all our old schoolfriends and teachers and find out what they have all been up to since leaving school.
“A few people moved away – Jane Brown, Julia Thornhill and Sandra Carling. It would be good to see them. The event is also on Facebook.
“A few teachers I remember are Mr Lister, Mr Ainsworth and Mr Molyneaux.
“We used to have form classes by the name of Clifford, Bruce, Neville and Percy.”
