I AM writing with regards to the wonderful photographs of Bob Storey and his family (Memory Lane, June 15).
I have fond memories of leaving Lister Street School aged 15, and going to Middle Warren Farm the next day to start work for Albert Storey, Bob’s father.
What an education - no apprenticeship, no unions, just hard, enjoyable work.
The family worked seven days a week so working alongside them sort of set you up for life.
Bob and his family, although running the farm and milk rounds, always made you feel part of their family.
So Bob deserves to look back down Memory Lane with pride.
