HISTORY buffs can contribute family photographs and documents to an online community archive at a drop-in session.
The event will take place at Seaton Carew Library, in Station Lane, on Thursday, from 10am-12.30pm.
The Hartlepool History - Then and Now project gives people the chance to look back at the life and times of the town and its people over decades gone-by.
The Heritage Lottery-funded initiative is led by the Nautical Archaeological Society North-East in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council’s Library and Museum Services together with local groups and volunteers including the Family History Society, the World Ship Society and the Photographic & Digital Image Club.
Project manager Gary Green said: “We had an excellent response to our previous roadshows and so far we have put nearly 2,000 photographs on our website, but we’re still very keen to hear from people who want to contribute.
“We would welcome photographs which show everyday life and scenes in Hartlepool and the surrounding villages, such as Graythorp, Seaton and Elwick - the older the image, the better.”
