RESIDENTS contributed “fascinating” family photographs from years gone-by at a history roadshow.
The Hartlepool History - Then and Now project held its latest event at Seaton Carew Library, in Station Lane.
There, people turned out to add old photographs and documents to a collection now boasting more than 2,000 pictures.
The Heritage Lottery-funded initiative is led by the Nautical Archeological Society North East in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council’s library and museum service and local groups and volunteers.
Project manager Gary Green said: “The roadshow went well, we had a good response from people who brought some fascinating and quality images.
“We are trying to create a history of Hartlepool through family photographs and memories.
“The photographs are fascinating because you get to see how the town has changed but also how fashion, transport and everything else has changed.”
