It will take place on Friday, March 28, from 7pm at Seaton Social Club, in Station Lane, Seaton Carew.

The event is being organised by former schoolpals Robyn Gelson, whose maiden name was Braham, and Allana Maddison-Ross.

There will be a disco, as well as music from singer Philip Wilson, who was known as Frenchy by his fellow pupils.

The girls would love to see as many schoolpals there as possible

Allana said: “We would ask everyone who was in our yeargroup, which started in 1999 and left in 2004, to please try and make it along to the reunion party.”

Robyn added: “Also, all the teaching staff who taught our year, please try and make it along.

“It will be great to see you all.”

Entry will be £3 on the door and any profits raised from the admission price will go to a chosen charity.

A Facebook page, called ‘99-04 English Martyrs School Reunion’, has been set up for people from the yeargroup to join and find out more about the reunion.

The ex-classmates have been suggesting good causes to benefit from proceeds from the night, as well as sharing their memories and photographs of their time at school.

These include memories of water fights on the school field and “going to class wringing wet” and of when Kay Davison took 150 crickets from her pet shop into the school.

Anyone wanting to find out more about the event can join the Facebook page.
