SPORTY Hartlepudlians are the stars of this latest batch of mystery shots from the 1950s.

A ball for West Hartlepool County Cricket and a presentation to Grayfield’s Bowling Club are among today’s prize pictures.

Also included in the selection is a mystery boxing team and a snap marked only with the words ‘Football League presentation’.

“All the photos come from our 1950s glass plate negative collection,” said Mail photographic archivist Susan Swinney.

“Unfortunately, only a minimum of information has been included on the packaging - leaving me pretty much in the dark about them all.”
