Four mystery photos from the Mail’s archives are the focus of today’s Memory Lane.
Each of the collection features smiling Hartlepool folk - but none have names, dates or even venues.
“Our photographers back then captured everything from parades to parties,” said archivist Susan Swinney,
“Many of the images are absolutely fantastic but, frustratingly, there are so few details known about them.”
Today’s photos include a mystery darts presentation, a flower presentation and a fancy dress competition.
Also featured is a smiling group of travellers, who appear to be just off on a trip courtesy of Glorious Tours.
“All we know for sure is that all the photos were taken in the 1950s. I just wish we knew more,” said Susan.
