Generations of Hartlepool youngsters enjoyed one very special treat each Christmas - a visit to Santa at Binns.
Today’s final collection of festive photos features Father Christmas at the store in the 1950s, with a trio of awe-struck children.
“Binns opened for business in West Hartlepool in 1926, after taking over the Gray Peverell building,” said archivist Susan Swinney.
“Within a year the store had become the area’s shopping headquarters; and so the annual tradition of a Santa visit was born.”
Other photos featured include two children’s Christmas parties - at mystery venues - plus a 1950s festive gathering for pensioners.
“If anyone can help with names or dates, we would really like to hear from them,” said Susan.
