Tickets please! We’re taking a look at the old buses of Hartlepool this week.

Here are four shots of transport in the town, showing the old double deckers with adverts featuring everything from Binns to Sparks which was renowned for its quality cakes.

A Hartlepool bus in York Road but which year is this and do you recognise any of the shops?

But what we really want is your memories of travelling on public transport.

Which service did you use and how much was your bus fare in days gone by?

Who remembers the days of open air staircases on the double deckers.

Our four views show a queue for a bus in George Street on the Headland, an old number 7 in York Road, the 227 United bus getting a wash, and two old buses promoting the Binns stores.
