MAIL reporter Mark Thompson got the chance to strut his stuff at an exclusive wedding exhibition yesterday.
Brides had flocked to Rockliffe Hall for Mail sister publication etc magazine’s prestigious wedding show.
Mark joined in the fun with James Shaw, from the Mail’s advertising department, as he took part in a fabulous fashion show.
More than 400 guests turned out, all of whom were also treated to free fizz and a bridal goody bag.
An array of exhibitors ranged from Kelly Ann’s Cakes to stunning gowns from Wild Brides At Heart, which featured in the catwalk show along with bridesmaid dress from YAP (You Are Precious), tailored suits from Jules B and bridal lingerie by Lingerie by Annette.
Bridal makeup artist Amanda Bell and hair stylists Be Premier Hair also showed off their skills, as did dress designer, Kate Fearnley, who was also exhibiting.
Wedding singer Anthony Stringer performed a number of crooning classic to accompany the packed-out fashion show.
etc editor Georga Spottiswood said: “Wow what a day, our wedding events just keep getting bigger and better.
“The fashion show went down a storm with guests. It was the first time we featured models wearing bridal lingerie and brides to be loved it.”
