HERE is another chance to enter the Hartlepool Mail’s annual Dear Santa contest.
On offer from sponsor Niramax is a share of £1,000 in cash to spend on presents.
Hundreds of children have enjoyed taking part in Dear Santa over the years and we are hoping dozens more will submit entries this year.
Frank Antropik, the managing director of town waste management and recycling expert Niramax, said: “As a local company, we are always keen to put something back into the community we serve.
“Dear Santa is a perfect example of this and we are pleased to once again sponsor the Hartlepool Mail’s annual competition.
“Our £1,000 donation will hopefully brighten up Christmas for the young winners.”
Writing to Santa is simple enough.
All entrants – aged 16 and under – have to do is either complete the application form on this page or provide the required information in an email with their family’s permission.
We want to know why you deserve a share of this year’s prizes.
Perhaps you have helped others less fortunate than yourself or looked after a poorly friend or relative. Maybe it is you who has suffered health problems and need cheering up.
You may also deserve a reward for some outstanding achievement during the last 12 months.
Whatever your story, we want to hear about it. Just remember to include a non-returnable photograph – clearly marking on the back who the entrant is if the snap includes more than one person – with postal entries.
Emailed letters also need to have a picture attached.
Our judges will sift through all the entries after our deadline of Friday, December 13, has passed and print the best in a souvenir supplement the following week.
Four lucky winners will each receive £250 in time to spend before the big day.
So what are you waiting for? Get writing.
Postal entries should be sent to Dear Santa, Hartlepool Mail, New Clarence House, Wesley Square, Hartlepool, TS24 8BX.
Emailed entries should go to firstname.lastname@example.org
The judges’ decision will be final and we regret that we cannot enter into any discussion or correspondence about their verdicts.
The winners’ families must also agree to be interviewed and allow their child’s photo to be taken at a presentation ceremony at the Mail’s offices.
Usual Mail competition rules apply and are available on request. Just one final reminder – don’t forget to attach your picture.
