Slideshow: Life’s an adventure for Anthony

Have your say

LIFE has been a real adventure for Hartlepool photographer Anthony Melendrez.

The Hartlepool Camera Club member is a dad-of-two and told us: “I am a Filipino who migrated to Hartlepool from the Philippines seven years ago. I am a self-taught photography lover. I love shooting landscape, seascapes, and my interests are on night and street photography.”

Anthony’s interest in photography started when he was 17 in the Philippines, using a borrowed point-and-shoot camera. He said:

“I have always wanted to take pictures of anything. I believe that every image I capture tells and narrates so much story that I could always come back to them and relive that story time and time again. The Philippine beaches and vast landscapes and seascapes had been and has always been fascinating me. The golden sunsets are my favourite.”

But Anthony’s collection of photographs for this spread all relates to the Hartlepool area.

Our thanks go to him for his fantastic submissions.
