SHOPPERS queued to meet TV star Robson Green as he proved to be a ‘reel’ coup during a visit.
The actor-turned-presenter was at the Dragon Carp Direct fishing megastore, in Castle Dene Shopping Centre, in Peterlee, to sign copies of his new book, called Extreme Fishing.
Named after his popular Channel 5 show, the book follows the passionate fisherman on his mission to discover the weird, the wonderful and the way-off-limits that the angling world has to offer.
Dragon Carp’s managing director Roger Surgay said: “Robson obviously loves the area and talked about his new TV series and some of the exploits he’d enjoyed on a recent expedition including winning thousands of dollars by beating the Yanks in a tournament in America.”
The Extreme Fishing series has now been bought globally so his exploits will be seen worldwide, and he also let slip that he’s in consultations for a new celebrity series featuring big names. He currently appears in ITV factual series How The North Was Built.
