A DANCE school enjoyed success at the double when two star pupils picked up trophies.
Charley Warburton and Elle Sullivan, both aged nine, are students at Nadine’s Academy of Dance, in Thomlinson Road, Hartlepool.
Both did the academy proud when they took first place at the Durham County Dance Championships.
Charley was crowned as the infant song and dance champion while Elle won the infant modern champion title and was runner-up in the tap section.
Elle is from the Fens area of Hartlepool and has been dancing since she was two. Her success came in a competition where she was up against 70 competitors.
Charley travels from her home in Middlesbrough to practise at the academy and has also been dancing since she was two. She had 60 rivals to overcome in her section of the competition.
Proud teacher Nadine Kennedy said: “Both girls are so passionate about dance and are a pleasure to teach.
“They are preparing to compete in the British Championships at Blackpool and, after very successful results at the event last year, we are keeping our fingers crossed for some more of the same this year.”
