Archaeologist Dr David Petts talks about the 1800-year-old Roman God figure a student found at Binchester Roman Fort, County Durham.

Dr Petts, from Durham University, said the Roman god’s head has lain in the soil for 1,800 years. He believes the god was local, leading to claims it was a ‘Geordie Roman god’.
