THE UK struggled again in the Eurovision Song Contest – so we took to the streets to find out what you think about the qwerky competition.
BETH Allison, 17, an A-Level student at English Martyrs Sixth Form College, in Hartlepool, said: “I didn’t watch it because I watched Britain’s Got Talent instead. I watched it last year and I watched like two songs. It doesn’t really appeal to me.
“I think it’s for older people.”
RETIRED welder David Walker, 75, who lives off Stockton Road, in Hartlepool, said: “I saw the start of it but I didn’t watch any more because it’s garbage to be quite honest with you. The standard of the programme isn’t good, half of the songs you can’t understand, and the voting is very iffy.”
MUM–OF–ONE Amanda Louca, 26, of the Rift House area said she doesn’t watch the annual show either.
The carer said: “I just think it’s silly.
“They don’t produce a good singer, they just pick anyone.
“I used to watch it when I was younger but not anymore.”
STUDENT Heather Marriott, 16, a student at Hartlepool Sixth Form College, who lives in Wingate, said she watched the contest despite not liking the Uk’s act.
She said: “I just think it’s good to watch. I didn’t like our act.
“Denmark’s was a good song.”
