MAGNIFICENT Middlesbrough turned on the style at the Riverside
Boro swept League One Yeovil aside to power into the third round of the Carling Cup.

The Somerset side were outclassed by their Premier League hosts in all departments at the Riverside Stadium and trailed 3-1 at half-time after goals from Mido, Didier Digard and Jeremie Aliadiere.

Gavin Tomlin pulled one back but Boro maintained their intensity well into the second half and claimed further goals through Marvin Emnes and Adam Johnson.

So much were Boro in control, manager Gareth Southgate allowed youngsters Rhys Williams and Josh Walker a taste of the action.

The pair both came on for home debuts with captain Emanuel Pogatetz and Aliadiere making way.
