MIDDLESBROUGH hope to tie up a deal with Justin Hoyte in the next 48 hours after Arsenal agreed a transfer fee with Boro.
Boro are looking to the 23-year-old right-back as the replacement for new Aston Villa recruit Luke Young.

"We have agreed a fee with Arsenal and we have now been given permission to speak to Justin, which we will be doing in the next 24-48 hours," Boro chief executive Keith Lamb said.

Hoyte was an unused substitute in Wednesday night's Champions League qualifier against FC Twente.
