New boy Justin Hoyte believes Middlesbrough's defence holds the key to their chances of pulling off a shock result in tomorrow's big home test against unbeaten Chelsea.
Hoyte, who completed a £3million summer move to Teesside from Arsenal, helped his new team-mates to record their first clean sheet of the campaign when they won 1-0 at Wigan two weeks ago.

Now Hoyte insists Boro need another shut-out if they are to end the unbeaten run of Phil Scolari's men, which goes back to last December in the Premier League.

He said: "We defended very well at Wigan and soaked up a lot of pressure.

"We'll probably have to do some similar defending against Chelsea and so we know that we have to prepare for another tough game.

"But I've been very impressed with the quality in the squad since I came here.

"We've definitely got top-10 defenders here. In fact it's not just the back four, it's the whole team.

"We're capable of shocking a few teams this season and it would be great to think we could get a result against Chelsea."
