MIDDLESBROUGH were left cursing their luck after threatening to break their Anfield hoodoo.
Steven Gerrard grabbed the winner for Liverpool against Middlesbrough in the fourth minute of injury-time at Anfield.

Boro looked like they were going to win for the first time at Liverpool since 1976 when Mido put them ahead with 20 minutes left.

But first Jamie Carragher had a drive deflected into the net by Emanuel Pogatetz with five minutes of normal time left, before Gerrard grabbed the points.

But a pre-match injury to goalkeeper Brad Jones meant Ross Turnbull was thrust into action at the last moment.
