DANNY Simpson has given Newcastle United another injury scare.
The right-back – who has only just returned from a three-game spell out with an ankle problem – felt his hamstring in last night's 3-0 defeat to Derby County.

However, Simpson played on, and boss Chris Hughton – who hopes to welcome Fabricio Coloccini back for Saturday's game against Swansea City – is upbeat he'll be fit for the Liberty Stadium.

"I think it was Danny's hamstring, and we need to just assess that one, but I'm sure he'll be OK," Hughton said.

"And we're hoping Coloccini will be back, and Ryan Taylor."

Coloccini and Ryan Taylor sat out last night's game with hamstring problems.
