A MAN who works in Hartlepool has landed a £25,000 wedding package after raising over £16,000 for charity.
Matthew Cummins, 24, and his fiance Kendra Elliott, 23, have won a £25,000 wedding prize thanks to TFM Radio’s Five Brides One Wedding competition.
The pair, from Stockton, last week made it to the final five couples in the competition.
They were then given just seven days to rake in as much cash as possible for TFM Radio’s charity, Cash For Kids.
Events they organised included a quiz night, a race night, raffles and even a bungee jump off the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough.
Matthew, a computer technician at Platinum Computers, in Lister Street, Hartlepool, and his bride-to-be Kendra, a student nurse at Teesside University, were announced as winners yesterday.
The couple broke the record for the most cash ever raised in the competition by collecting a massive £16,240.81.
Matthew said: “I’m over the moon that we not only won the wedding prize, but that we managed to raise so much money for such a good cause.”
The wedding will be held at Redworth Hall Hotel, near Newton Aycliffe.
The four can also look forward to a host of luxurious extras including a wedding dress, wedding cars, a cake and a honeymoon.
