A DANCE school is gearing up for a week-long pantomime to mark 30 years in existence.
It's a momentous occasion for everyone at the Seaton Carew Academy of Dance.
A cast of 140 performers aged from two to 22 will perform this year's show which is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
It runs from Monday, January 24, to Saturday, January 29, at the Town Hall Theatre in Raby Road, Hartlepool.
Shows are planned each night at 6.45pm with a Saturday matinee at 2pm.
But for dance academy owner Denise Tyzack, this year's show has extra importance because it is the 30th to be staged by the school, which is based at the dance studio in the Brierton Community Sports Centre in Hartlepool.
Denise told the Mail: "There will be 140 children involved as well as adults taking on the leading roles.
"The costumes are excellent and the mums of the youngsters have really pushed the boat out this year.
"It is a traditional pantomime with some modern touches and up-to-date songs."
Students from the academy have been practising for the show since September and it promises to be a huge success.
Tickets are 8.50 or 7.50 with concessions. They are available on the night or by contacting the theatre box office on (01429) 890000.
