COUNCIL chiefs are urging house builders to cash in on a new £400m national fund designed to give the industry a kick-start.
Large and small firms in east Durham are being urged to get their applications in for the Get Britain Building fund.
The deadline for expressions of interest to the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) is Monday.
Under the Government initiative, building firms who have planning permission for schemes involving more than 25 units, but who are in need of finance to move forward, can apply.
Once submissions are made the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) will work with the council to discuss which bids move forward in the county.
