A DAREDEVIL dancer entertained shoppers with a dazzling display in the skies.
Bethany Ainsley, who hails from Hartlepool but now lives in Peterlee, put on "A Performance in the Sky" as part of the Dancing The World 08 festival.

Bethany's stage was more than 120ft above ground level, on the top of Grey's Monument in Newcastle city centre.

Shoppers were handed binoculars so they could see the moves during Bethany's 10-minute display.

The amazing solo feat was a creative element of Newcastle Gateshead's biggest ever showcase of international dance entitled Dancing The World '08.

The event is being presented by Dance City – the National Dance Agency for the North East of England.
