AN INQUEST into the death of two brothers, who were found dead inside the same house, will take place next week.

The bodies of John Lightfoot, 52, and his 43-year-old brother, Graeme, were found in Elliott Street, Hartlepool, on Saturday morning.

Post-mortem tests showed they died from natural causes at about the same time and within the past week.

Town coroner, Malcolm Donnelly, will open the inquest into the two deaths on Wednesday, July 9, at 2pm.

The inquest will take place at Donnelly Adamson, in York Road, Hartlepool.

The brothers are understood to have had various medical problems, and were known to have been heavy drinkers.

Police officers investigating the deaths say there are no suspicious circumstances.

This week, Detective Chief Inspector Paul Beddow, who is heading the investigation, told the Mail he was "saddened" and "shocked" by the "squalor" that the pair were living in.
