CREATIVE children have named their new art gallery after a headteacher who is about to retire after 11 years with the school.
Throston Primary School pupils have called it the H'Art Gallery in tribute to Jean Hart.

With only a few days left at the school, in Flint Walk, Hartlepool, Miss Hart said: "I'm absolutely delighted. They could not have given me a nicer tribute."
Miss Hart, 60, said the gallery means so much because of her passion for the arts. She said: "We have a saying in Throston that education feeds the mind and the arts feed the soul.
"We respond to all types of arts, music, drama and visual arts with emotion, and I think it's all part of building the person.
"It's just something I have always passionately believed in throughout my time teaching."
A professional artist has been working with youngsters in Year Four and all their pieces are inspired by a trip to Hartlepool Marina and museum.
The gallery, which houses around 40 framed pieces of work, will be renewed with fresh exhibits from the children every two years.
Miss Hart has been a teacher for 39 years. She started her career in Stockton, and came to Hartlepool 18 years ago.
She was deputy head at Jesmond Road, and also had a stint at Ward Jackson school.
