HISTORY enthusiasts are being invited to take a ghostly walk around a cemetery to learn a little bit more about those buried there.
Hartlepool historian Steve Robbins will be leading a free guided tour of the Spion Kop cemetery, on the Headland.

The walk, on Sunday from 10.30am-12pm, will re-live the stories of those who are buried in the cemetery including those of 14 fishermen who died in a storm as well as the brutal manslaughter of local woman.

Steve said: "This is a very historic cemetery and there are some amazing stories to tell – some of which are very moving."

The walk is a part of the Wild about Hartlepool series, organised by Hartlepool Council.
