AN MP had to put off his planned parachute jump after high winds put paid to the charity effort.
Hartlepool MP Iain Wright was hoping to leap from 10,000ft in a charity parachute jump and raise almost £3,000 in the process. But the tandem sky dive at Shotton Airfield yesterday in aid of Hartlepool and District Hospice had to be postponed.
Iain has raised £2,785 so far for the charity and has also signed up to run the Great North Run later this year in aid of the Stroke Association after his son Benjamin suffered a stroke in May.
