Man denies stabbing charge

A MAN denied stabbing another man in a Hartlepool street when he appeared in court.

Gary Gollaglee, 23, of Stephen Street, Hartlepool, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm at Teesside Crown Court.

He was arrested after a 39-year-old man suffered cuts to his head in an incident in Milton Road, Hartlepool, in the early hours of Saturday, May 31.

A taxi driver rushed the victim to hospital and the street was sealed off for several hours by police.Gollaglee has been in custody on remand since his arrest.

The case was adjourned until the next hearing on Tuesday, August 26.
