THREE men were arrested after a husband and wife were reportedly attacked in a quiet marina club.
A second man was also injured following the incident at the Small Crafts club, in Commercial Street, on Hartlepool Marina.

The husband suffered superficial bruising and swelling to the face while the wife and second man sustained minor injuries at around 11pm on Sunday.

The husband and wife, aged 38 and 36 respectively, and the second man, aged 33, who are all from Hartlepool, were treated for their injuries at the University Hospital of Hartlepool and released soon after.

Three men, aged 25, 27 and 40, were arrested for disorder by police and bailed pending further inquiries.

Inspector Matt Walsh, of Hartlepool Police, said: "We made three arrests for disorder after three people, a husband and wife and another male, reported being assaulted at the Small Crafts club on Sunday.

"The three people went to hospital and were discharged after receiving treatment with the husband suffering superficial bruising and swelling to the face and his wife and the other man suffering minor injuries.

"Three males have been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries."
